Bubblegum
I have always been really bad at painting my nails. Magan, my best friend in junior high had a foot paranoia but I still made her paint my toe nails. She was good at it. I wasn’t. I was helping her express her talent, right?
Fast forward several years. I usually keep polish on my toe nails but my color selection has been pretty basic. My polish stash also tends to be pretty old but I use it anyways. When Daniel’s family came to visit recently, my sister-in-laws started teasing me about my usual boring nail polish and how I always wear a toned down color with a brown base. Always. So, they decided I needed a little vibrant color in my life…bubblegum pink to be exact. Thanks Bre for picking it out.
So this post is just to let the world know that after 5 weeks, I still have bubblegum pink toe nails and I have redone them several times since then. And….I like it.
Anybody have a good vibrant color for Fall?

i like orange with sparkles for the fall–it is festive but not summery!
I’ve been enjoying the bold and classic deep red lately. When we moved, I threw out all my old polish and have since bought just this one. It’s called Blackberry (56), brand is petites by Scherer. It doesn’t have the conversation-starting punch or uniqueness of a bubblegum pink or sparkly orange, but the bold and classic deep red makes me feel like a woman, a sexy, sophistocated woman. Like I’m grown up. And I like it. Pair it with a coat of Sally Hansen’s Hard As Nails on the bottom and again on the top, and my deep red sits around boosting my confidence for a couple weeks! Try it at a Kroger near you…
Well I was getting excited about Micahl’s ‘orange with sparkles’ rec but with Kelly’s pitch, I may have to switch and try this Blackberry (56).
darn it! i was going to give a better “pitch”…something along the lines of…..since its fall i like to go with Orange, it reminds me of pumpkins, the changeing colors of the leaves and just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling because i love the fall season so much. The sparkles in my orange polish top it off, because every fall day just *sparkles* ….the beautiful blue skyes, cool days, with just a hint of summer! All in all, orange with sparkles perfectly fits my fall mood!

Wow…I love this friendly competition. Who knew that nail polish colors were so…ummm…important to how we feel. No wonder I was missing out with my boring colors.
Ok, I guess time will tell what I actually pick out. I’m feeling pretty “fallish” right now so I’m leaning towards the orange with sparkles. When is the “right” time to switch?
